On December 12, 2023, The China (Hainan) International Coconut Industry Forum was held in Wenchang, Hainan. On that day, 59 international guests from 25 countries and international organizations, 64 well-known domestic and foreign coconut enterprises, as well as experts, scholars, and government representatives from scientific research institutions, gathered together to discuss the development direction of the coconut industry and promote its high-quality development.

Cai Jibo, Chairman of Sinomach Hainan, was invited to speak at the forum. He stated that Sinomach Hainan will fully leverage the role of central enterprises as a bridge and link in foreign trade and economic cooperation in the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port. By leveraging the advantages of Sinomach's machinery and equipment as well as its own international business advantages, Sinomach Hainan will explore innovation and cooperation opportunities in four aspects to help countries along the the Belt and Road and more developing countries accelerate the modernization of agriculture and forestry and green and low-carbon development: coconut product import, research and development of coconut shell carbon materials application, export of agricultural and forestry machinery and equipment, and construction of off grid energy storage solar power generation systems .

During the forum, Cai Jibo held talks with Samoa's Ambassador to China, Mr. Luamanuvae A. Mariner, and Vanuatu's Ambassador to China, Mr. Nguk Yang Dennis Nai, to discuss in-depth cooperation in fields such as agriculture, new energy, and seawater desalination. In addition, he also met with Chairman of the Coconut Affairs Development Authority of Sri Lanka, and the two sides had in-depth and detailed exchanges on matters related to the import of Sri Lankan coconut products.
